Mammal species seen

No proper record was kept, and nothing particularly noteworthy was seen - for an African living in Africa. The few notable records being:

Guereza Colobus Colobus guereza

very common in Nyungwe with troops up to 300 strong

Grey-cheeked Mangabey Lophocebus albigena

L'Hoest's Monkey Cercopithecus l'hoesti

Blue Monkey Cercopithecus mitis

Red-tailed Monkey Cercopithecus ascanius

Red-legged Sun Squirrel Heliosciurus rufobrachium

Blue Duiker ephalophus monticola

Peter's Duiker Cephalophus callipygus

Ruhija

Yellow-backed Duiker Cephalophus silvicultor

Ruhija

I also found a 50 cm green tree-viper in the Busingiro campsite - which caused some excitement with the overland truck there.
